Perfume for Christmas? Yip, it’s a safe option that offers you that little boost of luxury (cause we can’t all have it through the year) under the Christmas tree. So what do you look for though? Well, that totally depends on your personality along with preference, however I thought “Hey, I’m in my 20’s, maybe I could put a list together of my faves”. So if you like anything floral, sweet and/or sultry, have a look, pick YOUR fave and give your partner a subtle nudge (see: whack).

  1. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Sucré (RRP $154 50ml):
Everyone knows Juicy Couture, but did you know it could get even sweeter? YUM! If you’ve always been a fan of the Viva La Juicy range, you won’t be disappointed with this. Think top notes of Mandarin and Red Currant, Orange Flower and Almond Cream (like macarons!!) in the middle, and topped off with base notes of Vanilla Extract and Sandalwood. Buy here.

2. Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose (RRP $145 50ml):
From Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen’s first range of fragrances, Nirvana Rose is born. If you like a really dark and moody fragrance, you’ll love this one. Nirvana Rose is an alluring floral scent embodying the heart of a dark rose with notes of Geranium, Rose De Mai and Vetiver. Buy here.

3. Elizabeth Arden White Tea (RRP $101 100ml):
This perfume came out earlier this year, and it’s hands down my favourite for any new perfume release for 2017. Why? It’s so easy to wear! With top notes of crisp Italian Mandarin and Sea Breeze Accord, middle notes of White Tea Extract and White Iris Accord, and finished with base notes of Madras Wood, Ambrette Seed Absolute, and Tonka Bean. Seriously, I cannot get enough of it. Buy here.

4. Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb (RRP $186 50ml):
Flowerbomb is an absolute classic, so of course it’s made the list (just in GORGEOUS limited edition packaging). Flowerbomb is SWEET, but more mature than Viva La Juicy, so you should look at this one if you’re a fan of VLJ but want something a little more refined. Limited Edition packaging is available in selected retail stores…
Department stores: Gold bottle
Farmers stores: Clear bottle (as the one pictured)
Life and Unichem Pharmacies: Silver bottle

5. Lancôme La Vie Est Belle L’éclat (RRP $171 50ml):
Another sweet perfume, but more fruity, La Vie Est Belle L’éclat is BEAUTIFUL for the warmer months. Top notes of Tasty Orange Blossom, middle notes of elegant Iris and Jasmin, the accord of Patchouli and Vanilla gives its gourmand facet to the fragrance. The packaging will also look 100% on your dresser. Buy here.

6. Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris (RRP $143 50ml):
Mon Paris is also fruity, but with a more sultry, deep scent. It’s filled with Blackberry and Pear that hits you in the best way, followed by exotic White Datura Flower that makes this darker, and ending with creamy White Musks and Patchouli to balance it all out. Buy here.

7. Marc Jacobs Decadence (RRP $163 50ml):
I got this perfume for Christmas last year, so it’s worth a mention for 2017 cause it’s still that good. Marc Jacobs Decadence is amazing if you’re a fan of Vanilla, although it’s so much more than that. Top Notes of Italian Plum, Iris and Saffron, heart notes of Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine Sambac, and Orris, and base notes of Liquid Amber, Vetiver, and Papyrus Woods.

Some of these items have been gifted, however all opinions are honest and my own.
