What foundation should you use between seasons?

Uhhhh, foundation between seasons. Am I right?! Summer is easy because you tend to go for lighter coverage, matte foundation. And then, winter? Well it’s the opposite, isn’t it? But in between seasons, what are you supposed to do when half your face is still in summer mode and the other half is already hunkering down for winter? What foundation should you use during Autumn and Spring?
