SPRING FASHION: Amongst the leaves

I’m a big fan of spring, and not because it’s that much closer to summer. No, I like spring because it’s that cool, calm in-between season where layering is at it’s finest. Colour becomes a little more present also, but I’m generally not one for that, so today I’ve opted for a more muted palette – but there’s no black here. This boohoo dress is such an easy to wear style. Seriously, if you don’t have a good shirt dress by now, you’re going shopping this weekend. Paired with a crisp white crochet bomber (from Loobie’s Story) and some white kicks (Ecco Shoes) and you’re ready to head out to the local cafe and order a double latte… That’s what I’d do, anyway. What’s to come: Spring ’15 on Ruby Fearless

Spring can be a little magical, but it can also be really hard to dress for. One day it’s really warm and sunny, then the next a cold front has come up and your winter coats are out again. It’s all about balance here. Matching warmer pieces with more seasonal trends. Denim is MASSIVE this year, but it’s easy to style (you can even do a little double denim like I have). This is just a taste of the shoots to come this season on Ruby Fearless, and I can’t wait to show you more! We shot in the stunning Auckland domain. WINTER FASHION: Layering the classic little black dress

Yes, you can wear your little black dress all year round. It’s a classic, it’s timeless, a never-fail outfit, but how do you keep warm in winter? Today, I’ve styled this amazing Glassons Merino Dress for a chilly winter’s day. Layering can be a little drab when you’re working with thicker pieces, but that’s where accessories come in to really show off your figure while keeping warm. I’ve paired this beautiful tan belt with my boots to bring out the natural vibe this outfit is giving off. The trick? Keeping the colours and textures to a minimum and you won’t look like you’re drowning in it. What to wear on the ultimate road trip

During winter my partner has rugby every Saturday, so there’s no chance of getting out and about. But with spring on the horizon, plans are in place to get out of the city and onto the road the first moment we can; and we cannot wait to go on a mini road trip. The question is, what do I wear? I can get easily agitated in the passenger seat, and since we haven’t been away in a while, I want the trip to be as smooth as possible. Along with that, we’re planning on really taking in the beautiful scenery – and snapping photos along the way – So I want to look my best, naturally. I need to feel comfortable, but in true fashion blogger style I need to look just as good as I would normally. Jeans are not an option for road tripping, so I really have…
